Anti-Inflammitory Drugs and Alzheimer's Disease
There has been a theory for many years that taking certain anti-inflammatory medicines can help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, but a new study refutes the claim. It finds the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Naproxin and Ibuprofen would not have that much of an affect at all. Of course, this is the early part of the study. One of the researchers says the benefit to taking these medications may appear as study participants are followed for the next several years. Women and men are in most of the studies, and that’s a good idea.
